Delete PDF Pages removes the pages you don’t want from a PDF and gives you a clean new file. Take out blank scanned pages, ads in a bank statement, an old cover sheet or confidential pages before you share a document. You can see every page as a thumbnail, so you remove exactly the right ones.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Choose your PDF. Small previews of every page appear.
- Click each page you want to remove. Marked pages turn red, and their numbers fill the box above. You can also type page numbers directly, such as
2, 5-7. - Click “Delete pages and download”.
The pages you keep stay exactly as they were: text remains selectable, images keep their quality and nothing is re-compressed.
Why delete pages instead of printing a new PDF?
Printing a PDF to a new PDF with a page range is a common workaround, but it only handles one continuous range and can flatten form fields or increase file size. Deleting pages directly keeps the original page content untouched and lets you remove pages from anywhere in the document at once.
Tips
- Want to keep only a few pages from a long file? It may be quicker to extract them with Split PDF.
- Need to put pages in from another document? Use Add Pages to PDF.
- Your original file is never changed; you download a new copy.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The files are opened and processed by JavaScript in your own browser. Nothing is sent to SmartToolsy or anyone else, which makes the tool safe for contracts, bank statements and other private documents.
Can I undo a deletion?
Yes, before you download. Click a red page again to keep it. After downloading, your original PDF is still on your device unchanged.
Can I delete every page?
No. A PDF must have at least one page, so the tool asks you to keep one or more.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned pages are images inside the PDF, and they are kept or removed just like any other page.
